Turning 2 years old in May 2026, golden retriever Teddy Palecek has met all of the requirements to become a therapy dog. He passed his initial test and first observation that took place at the hardware store in Lake Tomahawk. His other required observations went well at Milestone in Woodruff. The Alliance of Therapy Dogs also requires a minimum of an annual wellness check and that he be current on the rabies vaccination. Teddy’s owner became interested in this volunteer opportunity with her dog Sailor after hearing about a therapy dog chapter that was starting up in the Northwoods by a member of the Eagle River UCC. Sailor had been a founding member of this group and from 2012 until Covid enjoyed many visits to church, the library, and wherever he was invited to go. Teddy is ready to do the same. Please let Kristin know at either (715) 762-1731 or sailaway88@hotmail.com if there is someone that would enjoy a visit from Teddy.
